farming for a Marohi Erqi maul (level 57 maul)

I am a level 60 marauder, im killing gneiss over and over again with around 62% rarity find which is probably enough to find it, the big question is i do not have conformation if gneiss (unique boss on old fields) drops it even though its a level 57 area.

Amidoinitright? or is there another place that drops the maul thats better?

I think you have much better chances buying/finding the appropriate white base maul and spamming chance orbs. You might even want to consider finding a 6L or 6S white maul and scourge+orb of chance it over and over. The approximate chance of getting a unique roll with a chance orb is something like 1/500 to 1/1000 from extensive CB testing, so if you can buy up enough chance orbs, you should be able to get that maul.

i have been trying the orb of chance on whites already but there has to be something that drops it surely

Well, uniques can drop if you're in the proper zone level that drops the base white item, and unique enemies/bosses/rares do have a higher chance of dropping it, but you need to sit down and think this through. There are 100 uniques in the game right now. At least 80 of them can drop from an ilevel 57+ zone. You're betting on a 1/80 chance on top of a 1/X chance (where x is chance for a unique to drop at all) of getting your maul.

Very low odds.

Also, 63% IIR is almost nothing. You should try doing what you're doing when you have at least 150 or more.

Yes, there is something that drops it.
Any mob in the game. You have to keep farming, even if you never find the thing you'll find currency and other stuff you can use to trade for it.

Who made this item and why is it so OP that it makes all the other rares non-relevant? Is this Diamond supporter item?

I also play lvl 76 marauder and didn't found a upgrade for my weapon since lvl 50s. I don't like the fact that my progression tied down to a 1 unique weapon that is very low chance to find.

Not good advice. DO NOT save up or attempt to buy 500 or 1000 Orbs of chance to go for a unique. Orbs of Chance are meant to go for rares and nothing more. Yes you can get a unique, but it would not be fiscally prudent for your character to blow through 500 or 1000 of them. You either farm or buy a unique, you do not waste orbs trying for one.

There will always be a "best" item. That doesn't mean others are "non-relevant" though. Problem?

But it's not the best unless you're doing a sweep build. Are you? In which case, it is the best... but eventually there will be more options for you.
