DW: Ranger or Duelist?!
Both can go for DW build, but what's the main difference?
Thanks! |

Good point!
Still, if someone can point out a more important difference, I would apreciate very much. Thanks! |

I chose Ranger over Duelist for DW for 3 reasons:
1) The starting nodes for a Ranger are more survivable-friendly 2) Other nodes are easily accessible without having to sacrifice many 'travel' points 3) I don't want to be a bulky toon Most of the Duelist's armor/life nodes are easily accessible for a ranger; you won't have to sacrifice a few points to get where they are. Vice versa, it would almost seem 'not worth' going into the Ranger's starting territory for those few Evasion nodes when the Marauder's are somewhat near. Here's my planned build I'm going with my DW Ranger (Don't know if this is the right link, IE8 on this computer so I can't open passive tree lol) But yea, moving from Ranger all the way to the duelist/marauder side ending at the 30% fire dmg. Single target DPS will be Elemental Hit supported by various (fire)element support gems (cold to fire/fire pene/weapon elemental damage), faster attacks & crit chance. AoE DPS will be Cleave supported by Crit, faster attacks, life leech Blood Magic support gem for various auras: Grace, Wrath, Anger 40% Mana reseve auras: Purity & Determination Additional fire damage/armor: Molten Shell + Concentrated AoE + Chance to Ignite + Reduced Mana/Increase AoE/Something else As well, I will have Whirling Blades for mobility during combat, fire/bear traps, and a curse I have yet to decide. Overall, I'm more into survivablity than anything else, so I chose Ranger for the starting EVA bonuses. Of course having the other nodes easily accesible without having to sacrifice too many 'travel' points is a plus too. @ELLE_mt Dual Elemental Hit Totems w/ Tri-Curse, Traps, Frost Wall: http://tinyurl.com/bvdxbjz Last edited by Versal#7834 on Feb 3, 2013, 11:51:57 AM
