Seriously, turning off firewalls and such to play is out of order..

Seriously guys,

In todays day and age of internet evil its not acceptable to get us to turn our AV and/or Firewalls off to first install and secondly to play the game.

I know this is a beta and id love it if once live this wasnt the case.

So far i have added about 10 different server, auth servers, login server ips with various ports and some pretty unrelated subnets to my firewall rules just to install and then try to play your game.

Hope this is a symptom of the beta.

Which firewall?

SEP11/12 but id hazard to say that most firewalls block some or all of the ports / ips. There are a heck of a lot of threads about problems with downloading and connectivity which im guessing are related.

Im in for the moment but have to keep adding ips to the rule as i lose connectivity. I cant use host-names in the ruleset either so if you change server ips i have to go through it all again.

My mistake, SEP is indeed a firewall....

Edit: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/73485 is the relevant dev response, I'm sure they can help your malware unblock their servers.
