Pianos are so bulky, and violins are so damn screechy until someone gets good.

I have a recent thing for bass-type of wind instruments. Discovered the "xaphoon" recently (looks like a whistle, sounds like a saxophone and is played with a tenor sax reed) and dig it, but it's also annoyingly loud and not as easy to play as it looks. (I would mention that one of the problems is that you have to take it rather deeply into your mouth and then bite the head with the front teeth, unlike with a clarinet, but you all have gutter minds! :p)

I'll just stick to my family of kalimbas. I tuned one of mine like this guy's, though I removed the buzzers, but playing like him is also not as trivial as it might appear. Kalimbas always sound beautiful, even when you just start out.
