ok theres something really funny going on with maps. many times have i used 3 sacrifice piece hoping to add 15 quality to my map, but it only adds 10. then sometimes when i create a new instance of lab i find a free dusk in the map device. wtf is going on?

" I got that too. Basically it doesn't take any duplicates. So if you tried to use 2 Sacrifice at Dawn and 1 Sacrifice at Dusk for instance, it rejects one of the Dawn pieces. |

You dont "find a free dusk" it doesnt consume identical pieces so it leaves extras in the machine
