Yeah... This would be all fun and games except that it definitely does give the player a huge advantage over others. In default league that isn't a problem, but in any other league, multiboxing is cheating, plain and simple.

If I am running 6 characters at once, and you are running 1, I have a huge advantage over you in races.

Oh yeah, it also eats up server resources that could be better spent on other players. This is cheating. Anyone who does it should be banned.

Wow bro, Ty for the info. I never knew that playing a game required any morals, especially when all you do in that game is running around and killing stuff.

On a more serious note, IMO this topic should be stickied and all other discusions on multiboxing locked.

My only concern with multiboxing is the economic advantage, and your argument was a logic fail. The loot being spread out across characters is irrelevant. The amount of loot obtained by the player is what counts. If it's all going to your stash anyway, the # of characters used to get it doesn't in any way take away from the profit. i.e.

Player A multiboxes and makes 30 chaos an hour farming normal Vaal;
Player B farms normal Vaal solo and makes 10 chaos an hour

Player A has an economic advantage of Player B. In this example, it's 20 chaos an hour, and that's not even an unrealistic comparison given how the quantity bonuses work in groups. The added difficulty is irrelevant when you're farming low level content.

So give every player the ability to emulate multiboxing in one game with a /player x command. Google it or check my thread in suggestions if you don't know what that is.

Also having a /player x command would put less stress on the server's I would think.

I may be wrong, but I don't think players x will solve anything. The whole point of this appears to be stacking rarity on alts, so unless those "x" can be decked out in mf gear, I don't see it being a remedy.

Wrong. Rarity / quantity gear bonuses only applies to the person landing the killing blow. Multiboxing is done to emulate the group bonus of +50% quantity per party member, which would be perfectly replicated by /player x.
