Increase the inventory size
" I disagree here. It might seem like a quality of life improvement at first glance but the drop rates for all items are balanced around the current inventory size. Changing one without adjusting the other will affect the economy in ways that would likely be negative while changing both is needless work. Last edited by Mortifiier#7756 on Feb 1, 2013, 3:02:26 PM

I have never seemed to have any real issues with my inventory size. If I am getting full before big boss fight I just vendor them off. Getting to town with a portal scroll is ultra easy.
I am sure the majority of the community will disagree with the OP but remember his/her input is welcomed here. Have fun in game!!! |

" Because the developers have said this game is meant to be full of tough decisions, this includes taking the right skill-points and what loot to pick up. The devs have elaborated on that many times. Nothing to see here.

Well if scrolls weren't necessary to ID items I wouldn't be concerned about the inventory size but how do you manage to ID all the blue and yellow items you loot without running out of scrolls? I am going through my second character and still I can't manage to have enough scrolls, ending with plenty of UNID items. I can't even buy them from the vendor.

" I'm not particularly mad. I doubt a lot of detailed thought wen into the exact size of the inventory so I'm not going to claim that the inventory size is perfect as is. However I feel like adapting your looting methodology to the arbitrary inventory size is part of playing a game like this. You can carry a lot of stuff if you pack it intelligently and prioritize lots of small items over a few large ones (remember it's one scroll fragment per item so 4 rings gets you more fragments than one pair of gloves) Personally I don't even pick up anything that takes more than 4 boxes unless I plan on using it, and the 4 boxers get booted the moment I have to choose between them and something smaller (of similar rarity). |
|
" Why would you want to ID all the blue junk? Only ID if you think you might wanna use it (and rare/unique). Never ever ran out of ID scrolls following this simple rule. 95% of all statistics I use are backed up by SCIENCE.

" Well the obvious solution is to not ID all your blues. If you hock them to the venders they'll give you shards that turn into orbs you can use to make your own blues, so unless you "have a good feeling about this item" don't bother ID-ing it. |
|
" u dont need to ID everything, i only ID Yellows/Uniques are VERY rarely blues |
|
" You don't have to ID all items, over time you learn what to pick and what to id, the game is intended to be like that - most aspects of this game is play and learn, everyone went through that phase and most of us are still learning. Nothing to see here.
