Overkill affects drops?

I think it does. It's like out running the RNG police. The server dictates what drops and I feel when you kill things faster it just says fuck it and dumps whatever it pulls from the loot list to keep up.

Doubt it. Spells used to cast at a speed in the thousandths of a second (with CoC); I doubt the server has any issue keeping up. If anything, it would drop LESS from dumping the work overload.

if higher overkill amounts = more loot then what about incinerate characters? they wouldn't get much loot (~500 dmg overkill).... What about RF characters? they wouldn't get any loot (0 overkill)

umm no it doesn't work that way. you do realize there are games that already have this system in place right?
if PoE also had it in place, it doesn't mean that those that don't do much overkill get no drops, they just get normal chances and the more overkill the higher the chance of better drops
