Quality items and socket/linking increase.

According to POE Wiki Quality on items increase the chance of rolling 6 sockets and also linking items. But it is unclear if there is a difference between 1% Quality and a 20% Quality item. Does anyone know if your chances are better with a 20% Quality item or are they the same as long as the item has ANY Quality IE Same Chances at 20% as at 1%.

That experiment would need a huge sample size to show anything.
Anyway, I'm fairly sure the amount of quality matters. Chris said once on reddit that the chance for linking 'more than doubles' at 20% quality but that sounded vague or as if he wasn't entirely sure himself. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I don't think quality affects number of sockets when using jewelers, only links with fuses. I remember being told this a long time ago. An easy way to test, is to see if the quality on an item is reset to 0 when using a jeweler. If it doesn't reset, then it doesn't affect chance of 6 socket.
