2H Spectral Throw question.

When the game was released it seemed everyone and their brother was doing 2H Spectral Throw, but now it seems like people level with it until they can use their real spec and then ditch it. And my 2H Spectral Throw, I mean Ranger, using Grace + Hatred and Iron Reflexes for defense.

Is it weak at end game?
