Half of the damage in pvp

Hi guys, sorry for bad english. I want to ask, what if all players will deal only half of the total damage in pvp? To me isn't a bad idea because on this way PVPs will last longer and they will be more skill-based than 1 hit based.

Is it possible to make? I dont think that it is an hard thing to do for GGG.

Don't know if it is a noob idea, what do you think about it?
I dont think ALL skills should do half damage. Some skills sure, some are already pretty bad as is so...

Maybe in high level pvp, but not 28 pvp. There's already damage scaling anyway.
What i mean is: if the total damage (after reduction, defences, block, reflect, etcetc) is 480, only 240 is applied to life. The total pure damage to life (after all reduction) halved.
