Lvl 22 Reduced Mana Gem + 21% Reduced Mana Reserved = 3 60% Auras?

As the title asks, if you had a lvl 22 Reduced Mana gem (corrupted lvl 21 gem in a "+1 to level of gems" item) and 21% reduced mana reserved from the tree, would you be able to run 3 60% auras?

Apparently even 1 less gem lvl work as well. TMYK.

Ah, see, this is why I ask, because that is incorrect. I just tested it out, and a level 21 Reduced Mana gem + 21% reduced mana reserved does not allow you to run 3 auras. The auras will each reserve 34% of your mana!

Has anyone actually tested with a lvl 22 gem? This could become important for Templars, Marauders, and Duelists that don't want to run Alpha's Howl to get 3 60% auras.

Real men do Aura calculations by hand... <_<

As for the question, yes, a Level 22 RM would let you run 3 60% Auras, with each reserving 33%.

Rounding error maybe? Perhaps the tool rounds down to 33 while the game rounds up to 34.

.60 * .70 = .42
.42 * .21 = .08
.42 - .08 = .34

.60 * .69 = .41
.41 * .21 = .08
.41 - .08 = .33

.70 = Level 21 RM
.69 = Level 22 RM

PoE ALWAYS rounds down. Hope this helps. ^.^

Thanks! I knew how to do the calculation, but I wasn't sure how the game rounds the numbers.

poe always rounds down? i beg to differ. i can't run 2x aura (40% and 60%) without any reduced mana gem or passive because it rounds up.

i can however cast with reduced mana on, then take it out, and even with map changes it just updates my mana to 0 (100% used)

It won't, because it does't always round down.

Mana cost multipliers — which only appear on support gems, such as Reduced Mana and Blood Magic — round down.

The mana cost after factoring in reduction rounds up.

Still, Level 22 is a damn nice level for Reduced Mana to be at, because it reduces the pre-reduction reservation by an extra 1%; .69 rounds down a lot better than 0.7 or 0.71.

I wonder if the total available mana pool somehow effect's this?

like rounding down on a mana pool of 500, compared to a mana pool of 3000? Any change then?
