Ubuntu and Path of Exile with Nvidia x86. It's easy man!

**This will work on all versions of Ubuntu and Wubi, make sure you have the recommended restricted drivers installed for your card**

Update before you start, 'sudo apt-get update' 'sudo apt-get upgrade'

Install winetricks. 'sudo apt-get install winetricks'

Latest Wine for PoE. 'sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa'
Then update. 'sudo apt-get update'. You can now install 'sudo apt-get install wine1.6'

Install dependencies. 'winetricks directx9 vcrun2010 riched20 usp10'

Install Path of Exile. 'wine pathofexileinstaller.msi' make sure the msi is set to executable.

Audio freeze when using active skills? add openal32 native under 'winecfg' libraries tab.

If your framerate intermittently drops to 0, try disabling GLSL in wine. 'winetricks glsl=disable'

you don't have to install ubuntu using wubi for this to work ;D

yes yes correct sir! I just use wubi because I dont have any removable media drive. :(

will work on all versions as well like you mentioned and thanks for your reply!

method tested and working on Ubuntu 14.04 and wine1.6 is now the latest in the repository

Also works on debian!
