Path of Exile wants me back

Hey exiles!

Story time! Here it goes...

So I started playing fresh when the game was officially released last October.

I managed to get this axe for the build I was making:



Only 1 week after I started playing (end of october, start of november) I decided I had to link the sockets. I just needed a 5L!

Tried and tried, so frustrating. Spent about 300 fusings, if not more, including some which were donated from guildies and friends. I never managed to get more than a 4L.

I've never been rich in this game, so I burned most of my currency!

Here's a comparison.

Oh man, how angry I got. I got stressed and decided to quit.

Stopped playing since then, until yesterday.

So yesterday I decided to come back.

I'm currently playing in Ambush, but today I thought "What about that axe? I no longer give a fuck about Standard, better just YOLO and spend the rest of my orbs".

So I went back into my old character.

Picked the axe, 6 fusings later:





THE POE GODS WANTED ME BACK \o/

I'd like to point out that despite the lack of small orbs, you are richer after than before. Also, that axe is hardly worth the effort to 5 link for the cost; better to just buy one 5 linked for a couple ex.

The axe is already linked, can't undo the past.
