The root of the Problem quest

I cleared the dungeon and looted the baleful gem, went to town and got my reward, but I never got any followup. I still have the gem in my inventory and whenever I drop it i get "find the baleful gem" again. I believe something has bugged cause there are no quests in town for me, and I've tried killing the boss there again, dropping and picking up the gem and whatnot, not quite sure what to do now.

You need that gem together with another quest item, Maligaro's Spike, which you will get by doing the "Sharp and Cruel" quest.

Thanks! WHen i look at merci a2 from another act it shows the root of the problem as incomplete and tells me to "get the baleful gem from the chamber of sins", but maybe that'll sort itself out when i do maligaro :)

DID the Weaver = no drops !?! Any have that hapen?
