Some invasion bosses need a nerf

This is more a problem for summoners (I guess, don't play any other builds).

I'm lvl 47 now on my summoner. My zombies have all the summon passives, resist, life, chaos resist and so on. In addition they have increased block, resist and armor from my Skullhead Unique and Necromantic Aegis key stone.

They are basically as good as they can be at my level.

Still, some unique bosses in the new league manages to kill my minions in no time while I use my flask to heal minions. One time they even died instantly before I even saw the boss.

I want the game to be challenging, but I also want there to be a chance for me to defeat all content in the game. If all my minions die that fast in some encounters, I am forced to skip or, in some cases reset the zone and hope for a different boss.

I like the fact that there can be a real threat in every room, but now I feel like I will die to a boss at any time with the increased desync problems.

I think some of the bosses should be toned down a little so players don't get one shotted by these bosses before they even see them.

I guess I am a bit lucky it is my minions dying instead of me, but it is a bit insane that you can get one shotted even in the best gear available for your level.

Before everyone goes all "go to scrubcore noob" just admit, some of these encounters are a bit too crazy.

I have something to add to this.

The snake boss that creates illusions and use Phase Run. He blinds all minions making them unable to attack. Tried killing him in the weavers nest, ended up with the whole nest filling up with illusions. Impossible for a summoner to defeat, since minions can't attack.

The boss that have Soul Eater, and summons an army of small minions to devour. Minions don't have a smart brain and targets all the small minions making the boss un-killable after he have used soul eater on 500 mobs.

These bosses were never a threat to me at all. I just had to walk away and reset the zone, because it was simply impossible to beat them.


These bosses would be relatively simple for any other build because they can locate the correct target, and dps it down.

Agreed. Rolled a summoner first in invasion, played until level 50, then gave up and rolled another char because you run so often in new uniques that either take forever to get killed by the minions or destroy my entire team within a second.
I find it extremely difficult for summoners in invasion league. I can't speak for summoners at endgame content with godly gear, if there are any?

But I am now lvl 56 with exalt's worth of gear, and I can't kill any unique bosses introduced in the Merciless difficulty. Bosses need to be balanced so summoners get a more fair chance at killing them, or minion skill gems need to get a buff or something. Maybe look at summoner passives in the skill tree?

After I got to Merciless Invasion I got turned off to play the game, because I can farm 50% of a zone and then TP out away from a boss and start over.

Summoners are already extremely fragile, because they use most passives to buff minions and auras. Now that most passive points are used on minions, and they still die that fast... Makes me think if summoners are at all viable in Invasion.

Forget group play btw. I tried to find groups even though I don't enjoy group play in games like these. I got removes from 3 groups because I was a summoner, and no one wants summoners in their party apparently.

Please make summoners more viable. I beg you GGG!

Also a bit lol that Invasion bosses that you find in every zone are 100 times harder than any other boss in the game (Vaal Piety Dominus etc)


Starting with Ch'aska, Maker of Rain. Simply does too much damage. That rain is almost invisible and you loose hp even when you move away. A map with vulnerability is almost instant RIP guaranteed from offscreen.

I RIPed at lvl 78. I think I'm done with the game, this is not fun.

It's not really specific to summoners, everyone is alt-f4'ing bosses, dying, skipping content, rerolling areas hoping to bypass a boss, etc etc etc.

God forbid GGG just balance the game properly.

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.

I just ran into another boss using spectral throw. I couldn't get close enough to see the boss before my minions died. And i got down to 20% hp in one hit.

Why on earth would anyone play summoner in this league? At least on other builds you get more hp nodes etc, to make you more resilient. I can imagine other builds have problems as well, but I can't see how anyone can struggle as much as a summoner in this content.

Summoners need to actually see the boss and cast a spell on it before minions aggro on it.
If I can't get close enough to even see it, then there's a problem isn't it?

Can a dev or someone please answer me this: Did you test the new content as a summoner?

I fear the whole build is dead with this new league. It's a shame with so much time and energy going into making all these gems and passives specific to summoners isn't it?

Anyways, after seeing this boss almost one-shotting me, and killing all my minions so fast with the gear I got equipped atm (Which I consider waaaay over the standard for my level) I have lost all taste to continue playing the game.

im scared to play as well. there are just too many things that can literary one-shot you despite very good defensiv stats. i mean who is scared of temple piety or crematorium boss now, when theres a tittybitch in a random spot who deals way more damage. Or a guy throwing totems that instagib everything. please ggg a bit difficulty is okay but things you sometimes cant react to arent that funny
