Update required - not downloading patch.

I just tried loggin in, had played for a few hours earlier this morning. When I click the login button, when it gets to Authenticating User, it tells me there is a patch to be downloaded, and to restart my client.

I do this and nothing downloads, get back into the game and continue with it coming up that a patch is needed, and to restart.

is this a known issue? is there a work around?
