St Scion - Struggling With Merc

I believe its my gear, I've been running Mev farms but not getting anywhere due to lack of rarity maybe?

As far as my gear, what should I be looking to replace the current gear with to be able to move through Merc decently.

I have 10 chaos only to spend for currency to get gear so buying isnt really an option.

We can't help you if you don't link your gear..
Your tree is also quite iffy, I believe you are a 2h ST I believe without many phys% nodes and with a lot of wasted points. You take 1h nodes but ST really isn't suited to 1h phys unless you are elemental which I don't see happening with your tree.
