Closing All Panels Hotkey

I have switched the hot-keys for "Close All Panels" and "Attack in Place" so that shift is now close all panels. While this has eased up my game-play as a ranger, anytime I type (usually to ask a question or link an item) hitting shift will close all the panels (not the chat-box thankfully). Chatting usually disables the hot-keys, but shift in this instance remains active. I am unaware if this is a problem with other keys being linked to Close all panels, or if shift itself is a strange exception to the rule.
Just trying to help out the little details because I'm a beta consumer. This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

I'd say this is done on purpose in case you get attacked and you want to close all panels quickly (including chat).

Hitting space (the default) does not close all panels.
