D3 vs Poe: Which has worse itemization?
I see complaints about D3 itemization all the time on the D3 forums: Can't find good upgrades from drops and prices for good gear on the AH are sky high because of flippers.
Poe was suppose to fix all of that, but instead I see the same complaints on the POE forums: Spent all my currency and couldn't roll a 6L and prices for good gear are sky high because of flippers. Which game is more frustrating to gear up? |

Honestly they both have terrible itemization. That's what drove me away from playing the past few months which sucks since I really do love the game (POE).

there is no auction house why is this game so hard?...
Q_Q but seriously the one thing i love about this game is that ive managed to build whole chars out of gear that ive found all by myself, believe it or not i get more excited about finding a good rare than a good uniq mainly becos finding a good rare in d3 never happened for me also becos getting certain mods on items as a drop is way more rewarding for me at least. ive found 2 kaoms and sold them both but i still kept my self found rares, funny that. Don't get me wrong, I like POE as well. It's just that the game was heralded as the savior to D3's bad itemization. But in my experience, that's not the case. Was curious what other people who played both games thought about it.

" I like how you consider PoE to have bad itemization because you couldn't 6link.. I honestly found upgrades in both games. Upgrades get significantly harder to find in both if you decide to trade. That was going to happen no matter how good the drops were since the items posted by many > drops of an individual. Finding an upgrade occasionally will happen but it will be rare if you're going to actively trade. Last edited by kasub#2910 on Jan 14, 2014, 12:04:39 AM

Why don't we just give everyone all the items in the game, and be done with it.
Seriously. It's like gamers of today cannot handle a random roll Diablo clone anymore. No one has the patience in this 'me me me me' gamer generation. If you're not winning in less than half an hour, something is fucking broken, and the shit-winds start blowing Randy. Either accept it, or go play something like Borderlands which lets you dupe and cheat your face off if you want a game where you have all the best items in 20 minutes. The threads are endless. PoE itemization is great, you can find a use for almost everything. Get a larger stash, store all the okay items you've found, and then you'll be able to gear up any endgame character in minutes.
I think what you were saying is the chances for getting certain top notch items are too low. But once you get all of them, you won't be able to find upgrades again, so you quit then? You won't have my gear.

" Agreed, and I did the same thing. Doesn't mean that literally every game and every player outside of my core group wasn't duping and onwards, and groups like yours and mine, were not visible to public I'm also sure. Random online is impossible in Borderlands, like any other local save loot-based game. |

mirrors destroy itemization and push poe into the direction d3 went into which was definitive perfect bis items for every slot.
