Does mana and life leech work with summoned minions?

Like will my zombies/skeletons give me health and/or mana when they attack things if I connect the life or mana leech support gems to a summon minion skill?

I think they do.
You can check the stats on the summon skill ingame. If there is a life leech or health on kill value it should be listed. |

ah ok. Haven't been playing the game long so I haven't had the chance to link a support gem to a skill to see the description of the skill change to reflect what the support gem is doing.

I am pretty sure that i read, life on hit/leech goes to the zombies and not you. Same with mana, so a mana gem would be wasted on zombies.
