Cannot select GPU to run game

Hi

I currently use a laptop that uses Intel HD 4000 and Nvida GeForce 660m. The game doesn't default to using the Nvidia GPU and I'm forced into manually selecting it in my C; drive each time.

I've already tried changing the settings on the Nvidia control panel, and it doesn't let me (drop down menu is greyed out).

Any help is appreciated

Oh yeah. Sorry ^^
Anyway it's the problem with Nvidia Optimus technology

I tried forcing use of my high spec graphics card in Nvidia control panel but when I choose PoE's "Client.exe" it is identified as Phantasy Star Online.

What I did:
*created a copy of "Client.exe";
*renamed it to something else ("poe.exe" in my case)
*forced use of high spec card on renamed .exe

*now I run the game through copied exe instead of official client.exe and it detects my graphics card just fine

I don't know if it's gonna work for you or not, worth a try!

The dropdown is greyed out because of the global settings tab.
If you select "High performance Nvidia processor" for your preferred graphics processor, it'll no longer be greyed out.
