Question about revamped "Ancestral bond" passive skill

[From open beta newest patch changes]

Description of Ancestral bond passive skill:
Can summon up to 1 additional totem. You can't deal Damage with your Skills yourself.

-So my question is if this applys to Spell and Physical damage? (or just spell?)
-And this probably also means that summons can deal damage without restricition here(just looking for conformaion about this one).

Another question: Does righteous fire still deal dmg? Because it says enemys burn for x dmg rather deals x dmg.

Summons/Curses/Totems/Traps/Mines all work together normally with the new Ancestral Bond as far as I know.

Currently - damage over time is not affected by any damage modifiers. 'deal no damage' is a damage modifier.

This is going to change when I finally get time to rework all the damage stats to make this feasible (I wanted this for open, but there wasn't time). I'd guess 0.10.1 for that, but we'll see. We may need to put in a quick workaround to turn off DoT with this specifically should it prove broken.

Once the change is in, though, AB changes to "you don't deal damage other than to yourself" or some more elegant wording, and this applies to DoT as well. So it'll still damage you, but not enemies.
So...if one goes for that extra totem, no more damage spells...if yours totems are destroyed in summon, you are death if you don´t use traps, mines and minions? is a drastic change...
Molten shell question - how it works with this keystone? It deals no damage, but still grants armor buff right?

If you're planning on just using your two totems for everything...you're going to have a bad time.

Yes.
so once this keystone is taken you cant use any offense spells?
