Need advice on 1handed+shield LS build

I built this build and when I look at it I'm worried I dont have enough defensive stats for endgame. I built it around swords but am open to other options if there are better ones. I would just like some critisizm on my build and advice on my items I should aim for. Should I focus on pure armor items or also go with evasion or energy shield?
