I miss old sport intros

Sitting here watching the start of Thursday Night Football and there is some singer wearing little and looking sexy. What that has to do with sports is lost on me. I use to love the intro to Monday night football and the old Hockey intro was awesome.

" That ship has sailed. I was flicking through all the sports channels on cable and came across ladies netball. They are all way fit lasses running and jumping around wearing not much more than sports knickers so I was enjoying the show. Then half time comes around and I kid you not, a bunch of dudes in bike shorts come out on court and start doing cheerleading moves. I get that the audience is mostly female and that is the eye candy that they want to see but my thoughts went to...What would possess a bloke to want to prance around in front of an audience. But that is being sexist. What would possess anyone to want to prance around not wearing much just to turn a few heads? I ended up changing the channel and found some old replays of lingerie football. I guess it's true what they say. Sex sells. "Withdrawing in disgust is not the same as apathy"
