Crit Discharger - (Under developement)

Hi,

i finished building my discharger and wanna show how i build it. The idea for a crit discharger is old, but in my opinion with release the only class for this build is scion. With 89k Damage per use and nearly 5k ES + 1k armour (9k with flask) i dont have any problem to nuke almost every rare mob or boss.

First some discharge theory ;)
The key items for permanent discharge is "blood rage" gem for gaining frenzy charges, Voll's devotion" ammulet to gain endu charges directly after a discharge and "Voll's Protector" chest to easily gain power charges. For creating the first power charges i prefer "ice spear" cause of its high base crit chance. Another non-optional aspect is "vaal pact", "unwavering stance" and "ghost reaver" keystones to handle reflect and stun. Another source of great harm is to be frozen. So the "dream fragments ring" is pretty needed.

Crit, Crit and ... Crit
Key of the build is crit chance like in the title mentioned. So the "voidbringer" gloves fits perfect since they boost ES for survivalbility. The two uniques "voidbringer" and "Voll's Protector" makes the mana pool to my greatest enemy. Using "discipline" aura to boost survivability, i have 480 free mana, but discharge needs ~280 mana per use. Only thing to handle this is "mana leech" gem and stacking as much mana as possible on gear. Thats the reason why "rainbowstride" boots fits perfect here. "divinarius" seems to be made for the build since it provides a vast amount of crit chance and increases the area of discharge.

Gear
So there are 4 pieces of gear to be covered by rares: ring, belt, shield and helmet.
Since the chest is lacking extremely of ES its needed to get as much ES as possible on these items. Another restriction is to get capped all ele resistances, cause ele reflect will kill you.

For the shield:
> 70% crit chance for spells
> 300 ES
(spell damgage is nice, but makes the shield really expensive)

For the belt:
> 50 ES
Since the "Voll's Protector" has some amount of armour and i got some incr. armour nodes from tree, it should have high amount of armour on it.

For the Helmet and ring:
My plan: first get ur resistances capped -> then try to stack MF

Elemental Reflect
"Vaal Pact" helps a lot versus elemental reflect, but its not the overall solution. Reflect kills u if the reflect damage of one single monster oneshots u. So to be absolutely safe, the only thing u can do against it is to reduce the damage output.

First be aware of reflect monsters (especially on "-max resists" maps). Kill them with "ice spear" or just wait till your power charges expire and attack only with your endu charges. In general u will crit anyway and will incinerate them. Its a nice strategy i developed in the last time.
But: it will happen that i will die through ele reflect

Additional Skills
With the new trigger gems, its nice to use endurance cry with "Cast on Damage taken", to maintain endu charges. I use "crit weakness" with it too and it work very well. I leveled the "CoDt" to lvl 9 to make a proper tradeoff between frequency and effectiveness of casting.
My new project was to use "CoDt" + "Endu cry" + "immortal call" + "molten shell". It was problematic to get a r-r-r-r item for it. But it really improves my survivalbility against physical attacks much.

P.P.S: the price for gear needed by this build will be increasing in the future since the ammu drops no more and the roll of rainbowstrides is legacy too

i have problem with mana. Do u know how to fix that problem ?

Just stack mana on gear and use mana leech with 20% quality
