Character naming conventions: `,',_,- etc... Can we have hyphens?

My download won't be done for several hours. I was trying to think of some character names until then.
Would anyone know if it's possible to use hyphens -, underscores _, tilde `, numbers, etc? Thanks |

Underscores, yes. Numbers, no. As for the others, I can't say for sure...
All the things I want to remember are in the places I'd like to forget.

Underscores are the only known punctuation marks permitted in names. Hyphens, tildes, apostrophes, spaces, commas...etc. are all disabled. As are numbers.
On the plus side, you have quite a few characters permitted per name, certainly more than most ARPGs I've played. :) And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.
