General Discussion - Character limit 24? - Forum - Path of Exile

I don't understand why people would hog names if you can't sell characters for cash. Note that I'm not suggesting GGG should allow us to do it, but still. Years ago I used to play this furry chat-game-hybrid called Furcadia and people hogged names as well. One player is holding a character named - what was it, it was based off Final Fantasy - Diablos or Diablo and I hear people are willing to pay $100+ for it. But yeah, why hog names at all? To brag to other people you got a popular name and listen to them give you jealous remarks saying you're lucky to get it before they did? PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. And this is one of the reasons why I found D3 tolerable from the get-go, despite the game being online, I can actually have any name I want without taking someone else name or vice-versa. Never really bold me well seeing that the naming system is limited.
