Non-traditional Searing Bond Damage Scaling

First real post so I have no idea what I'm doing. Experimenting with 1.02 dot scaling let to this build. It's essentially a dual totem searing bond fire trap burn build but using only trap and mine damage nodes for scaling searing bond. Currently with a 5 link searing touch and a level 15 searing bond I'm able to achieve 2.3k burning damage. I believe this is approximately 1k higher than traditional searing bond builds with similar gear. This is not really a guide but just some food for thought and encouragement of discussion

Current Passive Tree



Required Gear


Only required gear is a Sunblast. This is so that combined with a reduced duration gem the searing bond totem would pop instantly upon mine detonation.





Skills and Supports


Support gems are in order of priority

Searing Bond
Remote Mine
Trap
Reduced Duration (keep at low level)
Increased Burning Damage
Empower (probably best bet here for 6-link)


Cons


Currently my defense sucks. Not really sure if it's due to the lack of defensive passives or gear.

The big con is that your Searing Bond totems are always summoned where you stand. This limits your position possibilities and forces the player to move to optimize the beams.


Thoughts? Suggestions? Ways to improve?
