Havent played for a half year... what has changed?

Hello, my question is in the Title. In Kripparians Video i saw 3vs3 Arena pvp i guess?! Is that a new feature and if yes how can i join that? I stopped playing with the Patch that Introduced "Maps". Im Mostly interested in new Abilitys, are there new Skill Gems? And if yes how many and are they cool? :D

Talk to a guy in the encampment and select "join PvP".
Nothing to see here.

I'm not sure that we had Auras, totems or traps 6 months ago either.
In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.
