I don't know if this has been suggested yet or not. I am getting quite sick of being spammed by 50 different characters advertising their stupid websites every time I post a trade in chat. Can't ignore them because the ignore list has limits and they make a new character every time they message you anyway.
My proposed solution (Brace yourself for the most obvious solution in history) Option to ignore private messages from characters below level x unless they are on your friends list. How it could work? Simply check the bubble in the options menu and in a blank field next to it just type the number which will represent the level threshold. In addition, if you are really feeling up to the challenge. Players ignored in this manner will receive an automated message saying "This player is ignoring characters under the level x." that way legitimate players know why you are not responding and they can switch over to a higher level character to get a hold of you. Hopefully we will see this addition within the next 6 months, maybe even along with a proper trade system :D?. If it takes much longer I may just lose my mind. you are right this spamming is rly getting on my nerves i canot even get the change 2 read anything not even normal chat becausse they spamm frecking in private they put you in there friend list so every time a new char is made they can send that copy pasted autolink
this is rly enough in 1 hour alone i got like 50times the same spammer only whit new chars and they are what the you say only lvl-1s plz makers and dev's plz do something abt it or you whill loosse players becausse off thisand this is not thread its just a warning your game is 2 beautifull 2 stop whit it so plz do something abt this greetz genkane/locomotor79 |

When will GGG finally look into that??? Seriously there's a few option GGG could give us, such as a report function in your own whisper chat - that might turn out making the GGG employee who is responsible for that (or those, if there's a few) more busy, but in the end you will do something about this aggressive-spamming, that the community each and every single day of playing suffers. I can't put those spammers on my own ignore list, why is that? Because you guys from GGG, limited the list to a let's say hilarious amount of 30 names/accounts or so. That just doesn't work, that needs an upgrade aswell, at last! Both the upgrade (and with an upgrade I mean a HUGE upgrade, not just upgrade from 30 to 50, cause in 2 days we will have the same problem again) and the option to report players/bots in the whisper chat aswell, will probably help to minimize this really annoying problem you cannot really ignore. Do something about it at last! please. POE 2 got serious performance issues. And so far the devs don't do anything about it or can't do anything about it. Either way it is very bad!

isnt there a DND option to the chat?...sure they added it for those that wanted to stream without the constant spam from anyone and everyone.

While it is nice to think that reporting a player will someday fix the problem, in the end they just make a new account. I really feel an "optional" way to blanket ignore all characters under x level is the only way to solve this (from a players standpoint). While yes they can just level up new characters, that still requires time. Much more time than the 3 seconds it takes their bot to create a new character as of now. Also with the variable level field, players who choose to can ignore players below higher levels such as 30+. I highly doubt any gold seller is going to waste their time leveling up a character to 80+ just to reach the small minority of players that choose to ignore them. Spam bots are driving me insane. About 20 whispers in the last hour. Please create an auto reject filter to stop this either via character age or combination of x amount of letters in a name (20 constants) or perhaps specific trigger words in the message. There are many ways around this. Whatever you think is possible to program would be greatly appreciated. It really feels like it is getting worse every day.

" Sure but the problem is the majority of this spam comes when you post an offer in trade chat, and you actually would like to see the private messages of people who are interested in your offer, the massive spam messages (often 8-10 lines long) that follow the next 15 minutes after your offer make it extremely annoying to find the actual private messages. |

I would suggest sending a email to GGG, if enough people complain maybe they will do something about it.
