" You sir/ma'am have my respect. Now on to the people who can't respect this as art, I have a question for you? Why does the offend you? Is it because it is a women chained? Would you prefer to have the UI feature a man chained? Most people likely wouldn't have an issue with that since it is not a woman, but here is a question: What about people who find it sexy for men to be chained up? For them it would send a sexual message. Here is another point, I have had women tell me before they found many male characters in video games to be sexually attractive since they were bulked up with muscle mass, but do people complain about that, does that offend you? Most likely not. So why does a woman offend you? Maybe I could say that violence offends me and should be removed from the game, or that the dark humour that the shadow class portrays in his dialogue to be disrespectful and therefore offensive. You know what I do when people offend me? I ask them politely to leave me alone and cease the offensive action if it is in a place where I can not control it, such as in a public setting, or I remove myself and avoid things that offend me. You are not being forced to play Path of Exile, you choose to, way should the developers change something that most people likely hardly even notice because you are choosing to play their game. A small number of people would find what you are claiming offensive to be offensive. You claim they are alienating themselves from a portion of potential players for this "offensive" artwork, but by adding violence they did that, by making the game on PC and not a console they did that, by deciding to make the game have a darker and more mature theme they did that. This is not a E rated game, it is not for children, it is for people who are mature, roughly 17+ going by most age rating systems for most games. Every single choice a game developer makes about how a game looks, feels, plays, and how it is and where it is distributed alienates a number of people. Not everyone will be happy with the game, that was never the intent, the intent was to make a game that appeals to a target audience, which it does. You have the right to choose what you play, you have the right to state a dissatisfaction with what you play, but to demand and accuse is not something you have the right to do. What if I told you you could not speak out your opinion? That you did not have the right to have children or to have a job? What if I forced you to only play games that I as an individual decided had no offensive content in them? That is what you are attempting, the theft of the rights of others to fit your views. And allow me to quote that which the good Mr(s). Saffell was quoting when he earned my respect: " You are the "shitposter" who only cares about his own free speech in this situation.
