The covenant spidersilk unique armor question

What is the purpose of this armor, after trying to think about it for awhile i cannot come up with good viable builds that would revolve around using this armor, any ideas?

I got nothing.

It's basically a 7L robe. That alone means something.

What's it best for? A blood magic caster. Basically, if you're playing Shadow/Witch and don't want to use CI or worry about your mana pool, those robes are... a pretty decent alternative to the mask unique... actually, they're kind of a ridiculous alternative considering the robes don't increase the cost of your skills. It's a shame the robes themselves offer no +flat life, and such poor base ES. But I guess you can offset that with REALLY good gloves/boots/helm.

Leave feedback about uniques you think need changing! GGG don't really want to change uniques that much, especially after the game launches, so getting in good feedback now is a good idea.

It's rare, I know, but not all builds that are using ES, are also CI. I know quite a few shadows that use this, and a few summoners as well.

You can also cast some aura's on blood magic like clarity. Then simply take it off and cast the rest of your % aura's on mana

Mostly used for people that don't have enough mana for all their auras. You put on the robe, cast your aura with life, and then switch to your regular armor. This way you avoid the huge mana multiplier form the blood magic gem.
