Non-GS Builds in HC

Are they doable? It seems like most people who are high level in HC use GS, rather than something like sweep. Is anybody who is high in HC not a GS user?

You can definitely get by with lightning strike, cleave or sweep.

I prefer to use Sweep over GS, due to the fact, sweep helps if you get shotgunned, and you can sweep to knockback enemies. Also, sweep has more of an AOE radius, meaning you can damage more enemies around you, rather that in a straight line. But it wouldn't hurt to carry GS + Sweep.
