100% energy shield increase bug?

I used some..boots? i think...it has 100% increased energy shield on it but for some reason it dont. it dont even show up in my stats for my chara. does this effect only the item its on or my energy shield as a whole?

the % increase on items, only affects the es of an item, so if the item has 20es,a 100% es mod will increase the es to 40 es. thats it, if it were a global mod it would be overpowered.
