[FIX] Possible tempory fix for high ping and latency
This is for people who experience very high latency, this is not
for desync. I noticed that my super high latency and constant lags always seems to show up sometimes when I zoned in-game. This is also true with disconnects, they always happen a couple of times after each other. What I do is that each time i enter a new zone I press F1 and check the latency, throw a couple of spells or attacks, move items around in my bags etc. I see instantly if that "server" is screwed cause just lifting something up in my bags causes lags. If latency is f:d up I exit the zone, then go back in creating a new instance by ctrl+clicking the entrance. Keep doing this untill you find a stable "server". Sometimes after opening 5-6 new instances the game crashes and im sure this is not superhealthy, but untill GGG realizes that alot of ppl experiencing this have perfectly fine ISP's and that it is actually on their end it works for me. " What do you mean exactly? |

It has happened to me once, when i opened a 5th instance in a row I got a black screen with a mouse cursor. Had to ALT+F4 out, just a normal crash. I'd rather have the odd crash when im safely switching zones then to run around with a rollercoaster latency that jumps from 40-1000+ a couple of times per minute.

What do you consider a normal "Crash"?
Most people don't actually use the term "crash" appropriately. Do you get an error message? Does the client just hang and become unresponsive? Can you alt-tab out of it? Does it show error messages when you alt-tab out? Please be descriptive in what you mean. Last edited by Drakier#1520 on Nov 11, 2013, 6:06:50 PM

Game went into loading screen, on the loading screen the game froze and the mouse-pointer showed up and was movable, after about 2 minutes of waiting I came to the conclusion that the game had crashed so I pressed alt+F4 which shut the game down, no messages, right out to windows. That is what I call a crash. This has only happened to me once since usually I find a better server on 2nd or 3rd attempt, if it happens again I will try to alt-tab etc and get back to you.

" I had the same problem with long loading screens before. But then I found a solution to this gamebreaking issue. Get an SSD. |

No need to create a new instance. Just enter and exit the same one.
I have to do this during certain time window because I get 240ms+ and spiky on certain servers and 180ms stable on others. From what I gathered the problem is on international routing, and as I said on certain servers + at certain time window. |

you can't do that if you are doing maps, you have only 6 portals so...you will end to have 1 portal left..and if you die ...goodbye precious uniques :))
2-3days ago the game worked perfect but now my latency jumps from 400 to 5600 or so every 10sec..this is rly bad ..GGG need to do something about this major lag!!!! |
