Stat and Passive Stacking
Hey guys, does the +% Damage from Strength add to the +% Damage from passive skills or multiple with it? Does the +% Energy Shield from Intelligence add to the +% Energy Shield from passive skills or multiply with it? Are there any exceptions? (Chaos Innoc, the bigger than normal Eshield and damage passives.)

Both are additive. The description of CI is 50% more ES which means it's multiplicative.

Hey ionface, did you even read the questions in my original post? Did you even read the thread you linked me to? Because I had already read that thread and it did not answer my questions. Why link someone a thread that doesn't contain their answers? (I forgive you if you're a child or if English is not your native language though.)
Shien, the description of Chaos Innoculation contains "50% more energy shield." and the description for Arcane Focus is "18% increased energy shield." The words "more" and "increased" are synonyms in this instance, meaning that they mean the same thing and can be used interchangeably. If Chaos Innoculation is the special exception to this rule, it is because the developers thought it would work better that way and the programmers specifically coded it in as an exception. The word "more" does not mean "stacks multiplicatively." So far it seems like stat bonuses work the same way as passive skill bonuses, except for rare keystones, which means that at higher Strength or Intelligence the passive nodes for +% physical damage and +% energy shield would lose effectiveness. Right now I'm prepping for Jan 23rd by planning out builds, since the beginning of the game is rather tedious to repeat now and then again in January. |

" From the thread ionface posted. "more" and "increased" mean different things for the Passiv Tree. In general the descriptions are intended to be consisten and shouldn´t change for no reason. |

Haha, oh my goodness. When I read that paragraph I thought they meant that a skill that had +100% damage and a skill with -50% damage would multiply together to give +0% damage rather than add togther to make +50% damage. I had no idea the developers actually chose to use more and increased to describe different things. Surely they could have thought of a better system, like including the word "total" in Chaos's description.
