item and character carry over

sorry if this may seem obvious. but do items or characters from beta account get to carried over to the released game?

Open beta starts on January 23rd. When this happens, all of your characters will be wiped to level 1. All items will be wiped, with the exception of the unique amulet that you get for winning a ladder race.

The wipe on January 23rd will be the final wipe. There will be no wipe after that.

I was wrong, it seems. A few days ago I said in another post I thought it might take a week before this question was asked all over again. Turns out it was two or three days. Search function, people. It's right there, in the top right of the forum. Why don't anyone use it?
