Stuck on contacting server

I switched over to steam yesterday and the game worked fine for a few hours. Now today im stuck on contacting server? Just hangs there for a long time then when it loads it shows no characters? Is there a problem with server? All seems fine on my end.

Help please.

I am as well. Been stuck on "contacting server" for 30 minutes now, currently trying to play on Mac.

Hey man, I opened up poe in the old client and then again through steam and it worked for me.

Not sure if thats any help to you.
