Porting to mac actually isn't easy at all. Completely different code from the ground up.

Sucks because I have a buddy I played D2 with forever, but he won't use emulators or anything like that.

I have been beating this dead horse since jan 23 and it is not going to happen. I am sorry to say that cause I have never even owned a PC...been all Mac since the 80's before all the hype over them. I have finally given in to my PoE addiction and am saving for a gaming PC.

So install Windows using Boot Camp. Haven't had any problems running PoE on my Macbook Air using Windows 7 under Boot Camp.

PoE runs great on my macbook through boot camp.

Its been discussed pretty extensively before and its quite unlikely to happen. Use wine or dual boot. Us Linux users are in the same boat.
