Monkey Queen - Pillar of the Caged God (Need Help)

So, I found Pillar of the Caged God when searching the list of unique items randomly, and thought that the Scion, with its starting point, could get a nice build going with it.

Passive tree list as it should be at the end:

As compared to my current tree:

Now, I'm Lv42 and encountered a big problem: Survivability.

While I have a lot more armor (almost double) and about the same amount of life (almost 100 more) as my Marauder had at the same level, I still seem to get hit harder and lose life faster. Note that the Marauder has Unwavering Stance, meaning it doesn't have any dodge, while this Scion has Iron Reflexes - which is the reason for having more armor.

Also, I have only about half the dps (at 288 in the character tab) as my Marauder had at the time, but I didn't expect many other builds to come close to that one anyways.

The biggest problem, I believe, is that I still have the old version:

The new version features 6% more damage per 10 Str, which translates to 60% more per 100... of which my Scion currently has 227. Aside from the damage output, I just don't see why this build seems to lack survivability.

Maybe I should try and continue on a little more with different weapons before trying to find a new version of the Pillar (nobody seems to have it or be selling it, at least).

One of my friends tried a full strength build with the various skills it can use as opposed to Facebreakers. (limited to Infernal Blow and Dominating Blow) Turns out that Facebreaker, even after being nerfed and Pillar being buffed, is still the clearly superior choice due to the fact that Facebreaker has multiplicative scaling whereas Pillar's scaling is additive. It is still strong, but it is 1 to 1 inferior to Facebreaker and fills the same roll. :(
You can use a divine orb to roll buffed stats. That's what I did with mine.
