when iten says 100% to armor why does it not double armor

have a unique item that says 100% armor but it does not double total armor rating
only adds 28 instead of doubling total armor

I'm guessing your thinking of stats that are only modifying that specfic piece of equipment. They don't modify your characters overall stat like the armor in your example. They just modify that piece of gear that has the stat. Its funny because you will see big numbers like 100% but it only modifies a small number like 10 which results in 20 and thats it.

If the magic modifier gives a global bonus it will say global in the description
