I always like the mathematician class from Final Fantasy Tactics. The chest piece will be full of variables, when this unique is rolled and dropped, N, T and C will be selected by the system Name: Mathematic N = 3,4,5 T = HP,MP,ES C = Any curse * - (N * 10) of T * Calculation: The targets with T = multiple of N, will be hit by the chest attack/spell gem, with increased damage 100% * N * Calculation: The targets with T != multiple of N, will be immune to the chest attack/spell gem * (10-N)*10% to apply C on hit * N*10% less chance to get (N+1)L E.g. Mathematic -30HP (base HP) The targets with HP = multiple of 3, will be hit by the chest attack/spell gem, with increased damage 300% The targets with HP != multiple of 3, will be immune to the chest attack/spell gem 70% to apply frostbite on hit 30% less chance to get 4L Note * I think the mobs are usually having T = multiple of 5, e.g. 480, so 0 will never been considered, so 480 is actually multiple of 3 or 4. * Apply on everything including unique bosses * If the targets do not have MP or ES, the calculation does not apply at all. I'd put a super awesome design for a unique here, that'll totally convince you that I should get the custom unique, but I'm to tired right now.

A Ring or Amulet
All effects that would have normally caused you to gain life instead cause you to gain mana. All effects that would have normally caused you to gain mana instead cause you to gain life. Cannot have energy shield. Edit: To be more exact, this would have an effect on things like flasks or life steal or auras or Gain X life per second on items. Just want to start with the fact I commend your generosity in putting this opportunity out to the POE community.
I personally think that there are enough items in existence that can influence a build and generally those who create them are paying for the privelige of getting "That one item that I want in game to make my toon(s) awesome" and generally they tend to minimise the risk>reward ratio – What POE needs is some real Risk Vs Reward content, something that makes the player have to make a snap decision of whether they want to risk something for TEH LOOTZ. What would I want to see? There are loads but how about this as a starter for 10. Exile Design. Name: Visage of Kaom Appearance: Spirit formed from Animated Armour and Animated Weapon combination, preference is the visual look of Kaom’s Heart and Kaom’s Primacy with a ghostly visage of Kaom in spirit blue. Key Elements of the Exile: • As a wraith the Exile is formed from dark energies forged from the dark arts practiced by the necromancers of Wraeclast. • The Exile is a constant diminishing form (akin to a collapsing star or black hole) and thus the Exile has a time limit in which to be destroyed. (This is to prevent utilise TP’s to consistently refill flasks) • The timer to kill the Exile is only triggered once hit by a player. • The Exile is not killed if destroyed however can re-appear anywhere within Wraeclast after regaining power. • Exile deals Physical & Fire damage. • The Exile is the equivalent of 5-7 levels above the area/act in which he spawns and therefore should be a ‘ZOMG !! Fight or Flight time’ (Risk Vs Reward) • Exile suffers 10% more damage if attacked by Melee Weapons. • Destruction of the Exile guarantees 1 x Unique randomly selected from ALL Uniques of appropriate level in which it spawns, additional (ie You can’t get a Soul Taker in Act 1 Normal but if you fight him in Act 2 Merciless then you could) • The Big One: = The Exile has a chance to absorb Melee weapons, the percentage value of the Chance to Absorb Weapon is very low (1:1000 melee hits) although of course would be up to GGG to alter the value based on the reward for destruction. • Absorbed Melee weapons will be returned to players as a drop IF the Exile is destroyed in time, failure to kill the Exile will result in the complete loss of the item. • If the Chance to Absorb Weapon is activated then the player is granted 2 seconds immunity to all physical damage. (To run and equip a new weapon) Thinking behind this Exile: • Ranged players QQ’d the reflect bubble of the new monster types in 1.0.0, this is a chance for Melee to QQ too but balances the QQ’ers across the board. (Promotes equality between QQ’ers) • Sporkers, Burners, Totemers, “I can kill anything by just kiting for ages” are going to need to party up before engaging in a battle with this Exile. (Promotes group play) • Makes melee players less reliant on their Uber Prized weapon. (Promotes variety and reduces reliance on specific items) Story: Well, that would be written up if GGG agreed to integrate the Exile and would need to be written into the Lore appropriately. To GGG – The players without the funds to design their own are swarming with ideas, how’s about a Forum competition?
