Singapore Gateway Latency Issues (as of today)

I have been played for a little over a week now. Based out of Australia I have been connecting via the Sinapore Gateway and usually have a latency of around 120-130ms. As of this morning connecting to the game via the Singapore gateway I am seeing a consitant 270-300ms.

Testing other gateways I see US as averaging 230ms and Europe averagine about 350ms.

Is there any tests to I can perform to see what could be causing this increase in latency, and is anyone else experiencing it.

As a note - all other online games have normal latency - the increase seems to be confined to this game only.
It's possible your ISP has changed the route they use to get to the Singapore servers. You could try download WinMTR and run it against sng.login.pathofexile.com to see what the route is doing. Post the output here if you want a hand interpreting it.
Hey Thomas,

Here is the results of the MTR:

Trace complete.

From the above it seems the problem crops up at 36351.sgw.equinix.com which appears outside my isp's network for the most part. Any help appreciated.

Your worst cases from even your ISP are really bad... 2.5 seconds. Additionally, you dropped packets 3 times in that one tracert within what might be your ISPs subnet. No doubt your ISP was having a problem today.

Hey Zeto,

True on the dropped packets. Also being in Australia connecting to the singapore server, the numbers in the 100's are pretty acceptable, its only when it hits 200+ at the end is where the real "bad" latency comes in.

Just in case your are approaching the stats from a US Internet point of view :P
Your WinMTR output is just plain bizarre, I don't know what could mangle it like that.

Your tracert though suggests the problem is between your ISP and equinix. I would assume they used to route through someone else. You could try contact your ISP and ask if they can do anything about it... possibly a long shot, but doesn't hurt to ask.
Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the reply - I have contacted my ISP (Internode) with all of the details - will see what they can tell me and report back if there is any news.
