Question about Crit chance nodes

In the passive skill tree, there're 2 kinda crit chance nodes. One is just "Crit chance" and the other is "Crit chance for spell". Are they the same and apply both attack and spell or what?

If you use a spell then a crit chance node and a crit chance for spell node both apply to your spell. If you use a non spell attack, lets say you swing with a sword, then only the crit chance node will benefit you as flailing your arm at a zombie isn't considered a spell :)
