A Singaporean in Sydney
So the Mrs and I will be spending some time away from the Dyaduses this December and ended up deciding on Sydney as our December getaway. She hasn't been, and we weren't in the mood for freezing our asses off up North.
Given the significant Australian population here, I thought I'd check in for a couple of recommendations? Happy to hear what you think are must-dos there. I've climbed the bridge and I've seen the Opera House. I'd grudgingly do those again if I have to since the Mrs hasn't been. But if I could get a couple of cool travelling tips from guys who know the place well, I'd be most most grateful! :D | |
EDIT: couldn't get that link to work properly :(
anyway, here's a quick reference: http://www.sydney.com.au/sights.htm sorry for being so "generic". I'll try to write a more detailed list tomorrow. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat Shadow: That was fun Last edited by johnKeys on Nov 5, 2013, 6:48:16 AM

Go to Brisbane instead, check out the Hinterlands and the Beach IN THE SAME DAY!
It's truly amazing. People living in Brisbane don't appreciate what an amazing place it is and how rich it is. But if you set on Sydney, I would visit: Sydney Aquarium Taronga Zoo Sydney Tower Restaurant Bondi Night Markets and the Beach itself Blue Mountains Wildlife Tour Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tour Adriano Zumbo's Patisserie The Chinese Garden of Friendship The Royal Botanical Gardens The Rocks if something good is on. Chinatown Night Markets I assume a local would know better places, those are the things I'd hit up if I were in town, as well as you mentioned, the Bridge Climb and the Opera House. I still vote for Brisbane. You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world,
and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches. |

Come to NZ. Visit GGG offices, plus other stuff.
I do like Sydney tho, have fun! We tested it extensively

was going for the promised wall-of-text list, but seems like Velocireptile got a lot of things covered.
