Deleting Character not freeing up names?

I just started out and took ages trying to find a name that was accepted and worked, played fora while learned for bit, made mistakes as many would on 1st character.... So i re-roll delete character expecting to use same name again.

Except I can't! they no way somebody could took the name in such a short time, so why dont deleting characters free up names? this could cause some serious naming problems the longer this goes on :-(

try re logging, but the name is usually reusable pretty much instantly after deleting the original char with it

I tried that, and tried the following day too, it was a rather looooong name, so very unlikely somebody snapped it it, guess the name lost to the void :-(
