BUG, I can help oak kill my party members HC cruel
This is a bug that can be reproduced.
I have helped oak in both norm and cruel HC, Player A loads an instance, player B joins it. When player B enters the camp of Oak, player A leaves the area, in the left corner where the door locks. Player B than drops a town portal and begins to fight Oak. Player A enters and is put outside of the camp. The fight is over... Now player B returns trough the TP and fights Oak. Instead of being told player A needs to leave the instance he gets teleported into the camp and can be attacked by player B, he can also help Oak to kill player B..Player A does not get attacked by Oak

The bandit area is intended to allow PvP, if you look at the top screen before choosing to help/kill it will tell you this, Not a bug, just feature.

This only works when I stand next to the door when it closes, if I enter the zone with my party and one of the members did not help him nothing happens...they can not progress and I can not attack like I did now...
Either fix it that I can always attack my party members in that area after they talked to Oak, or remove it entirely. Also, I can not see that top screen before choosing because I already helped him in beta and it automatically choses to help him. |

The party members who chose to kill him will fight against the party members who chose to help him. It's like that with all three bandits.
If you made the quest on that difficulty before you don't get to choose once more. I think your previous choice will be saved and applied everytime you go there with a party. Oak gives +18% Physical Damage on cruel so many people will probably prefer him over +8% Attack Speed that you will get from Kraityn. So if you chose to kill Oak it's likely you fill fight many players there. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Deal_with_the_Bandits Or did it happen when you both definitely chose the same option? I remember something about party members having to leave the instance before you could fight. This was in open beta and I did not read any patches about this.
Sounds kinda abusable if you ask me...where a high level player could instantly KO a lower level player he is "Helping" kicking them out of the HC league.. |

" Well, yes that's the case. That's why it's generally a bad idea to do that quest in a party of strangers. Try to solo the bandits or play with a good friend to avoid any surprises XD ... especially on hc. |

it's always been the case that you can kill your party members if they choose differently from you, it states in in the quest txt and gives you a box to see who votes to do what.
It's certainly abusable for the dick trolls that have nothing better to do than send they unwary to SC but it's not a bug. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Well that is shit.... A friend of mine playing a witch did a few quests without me so when we started playing together we started going with my quests so i can catch back up. When i selected a different option i instadied from his spawns... Not cool considering it was Hardcore Breach...
At least put a Warning in there..... |
