I want my friend to play PoE but having some issues
Hi Guys!
Hope you are all doing well. I am kinda in a bad situation atm. My real life friend who lives far away wants to play PoE with me but cannot download this gigantic piece due to limitations. Is there anyway for me to send this in a DVD? Current size which I see is 6.3GB. Any help is welcome. Thanx |

just use a USB-Stick and send it to him ;) should work but try to test it out by moving the poe client on it and try to run it on the stick if it works it will work for him too

this dropbox comment is the best ... when he has limitations and can't download it from poe.com ... well dropbox might help right? lol

Bigger DVD (not standard 4.7 GB) or an archive split into 4.7 GB or smaller chunks and then burnt to DVD (you could use hjsplit to split the file).
USB-Stick, external HDD works, too. Bird lover of Wraeclast

" Tell him to download it from steam, download was 2.7 GB for me. No longer a forum dweller, please use PM for contact purposes.

try running the GGPK defragmentation tool, it shaved quite a few gb off for me (enough that you could get it onto a dvd) and at the same time you'll get a nice speed boost out of it :)

I think I didn't make myself clear with the first post.
DVD is not an issue. I can use the 8.5GB one. Point is, do I just burn the whole Grinding Gear Games folder for him or do I need to manipulate something? or Should I just ask him to download POE from website and move the "Content.ggpk" in the Path of Exile folder? you CAN send the whole PoE folder, but the Content.ggpk is the big one.
