Cast on Damage Taken pairings... Decoy Totem?!

So I managed to grab a Cast on Damage Taken gem yesterday, thinking I would leave it at level 1 and use it with Enduring Cry.

Well, I wanted to level my Enduring Cry a little before I directly linked it, so I decided I'd just temporarily stick a Decoy Totem with it.

...

Wow. I'm one of those people that prefers skeleton totem over decoy totem in nearly every way.

But I've got to say... Decoy impressed me.

Has anyone else had experiences with Decoy on CODT? Perhaps higher level? I'm only 48 on this char and on Dom, else I wouldn't be asking XD. I worry about it being totally useless when I hit maps.

Does it STAY this strong? A new Decoy every 440 damage it nuts. It also makes it crazy easy to get a load of Spectral Throws rolling without having to kite.

It works pretty well, especially if you keep your CODT gem low-leveled. Since Decoy Totem doesn't deal damage, you don't lose any benefit by having a low leveled gem, and you still have a lower threshold. Another link I would recommend in the same vein is Mine+Decoy Totem, which lets you establish a safe retreat route. However, if you do stay with CODT, take care that you keep the threshold high enough that enemies can't trigger it again on you before they switch targets, or else the new totem will kill the other one without it having taken aggro.
If I have two fish, and you have three fish, how many fish do we have?
None. These are MY fish.
try spell totem with summon skeletons and faster casting.

this will summon a ton of meat shields for you every time you take damage. best thing about it is that combo usually takes a lot of mana/time to cast but now you can skip that aspect. with faster casting the totem spits out skeletons usually faster than they can be killed
Cast on damage taken + enduring cry seems pretty sick, I'm wondering if I should switch back to IR ( even with the nerf ) to use that actually, it seems reaaally powerful.
Has someone tried it ?
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
